(airfare is additional and will be confirmed at the time of booking) Never is our Nation’s Capital more splendid than in the spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. All of Washington celebrates the beauty of the season with visitors from across the nation and around the world. The highlight is the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade and you will also visit the National monuments, buildings, attractions and great museums of DC.

Itinerary

Day 1
Northern Virginia
Mid-Afternoon arrivals to Dulles/Washington International Airport. Meet our Full Time Escort and Motor Coach. Depart for the Smithsonian Institution's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center National Air and Space Museum. This evening we will enjoy dinner at Bravo's. After dinner we check into the Marriott Tysons Corner. Escort stays at the hotel with group throughout. Day 2
Washington, D.C.
Breakfast at our hotel this morning. This morning we will visit Arlington National Cemetery. Tourmobile tickets included for your visit. Stop at the Women in the Military Memorial. Arrive at Union Station and enjoy lunch on your own. This afternoon we continue with a tour of Capital Hill. Stop for a photo opportunity and narrative tour of the outside of The United States Capital. Tour the Library of Congress. Tour the Supreme Court Building. Visit the National Archives. Dinner this evening is on the waterfront in Georgetown. After dinner continue with an illuminated monument tour: stop at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue). Return to the hotel for the night. (B, D)
Day 3
The National Cherry Blossom Parade
Breakfast at our hotel this morning. Depart for our reserved seating at the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The celebration includes a massive parade, which navigates down Constitution Avenue. After the parade walk to the National Mall and visit your choice of the Smithsonian Institution's museums. Enjoy lunch on your own in one of the museum's cafeterias while visiting. Later this afternoon we'll depart for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial and the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Enjoy dinner tonight at Tuscana West. After dinner walk through the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Stop at the Jefferson Memorial. Return to the hotel for the night. (B, D)
Day 4
Mount Vernon and the "new" Newseum
Enjoy breakfast at our hotel this morning. Depart for Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington. Visit the Ford Orientation Center & Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center at Mount Vernon. Enjoy a colonial lunch today at the Mount Vernon Inn. After lunch visit the spectacular new and exciting Newseum, the only interactive museum of news. Go behind the scenes and try your hand at being a television news anchor or radio sportscaster. Continue with a stop at the National World War II Memorial. Stop for a photo opportunity of the White House. Stop at the Air Force Memorial built on a hillside overlooking the Pentagon. Return to the hotel for the evening. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening. (B, L)
Day 5
Cruise on the Potomac
Breakfast at our hotel this morning prior to checking out. Visit Ford's Theatre and Peterson House. Enjoy lunch onboard the Odyssey III Cruise Ship, Washington's Premier Luncheon Cruise! Travel beneath the historic bridges spanning the Potomac while enjoying live entertainment, impeccable cuisine and unparalleled views of the Capital's greatest monuments. Return to dockside and depart for the Airport. (B, L)
